Overview

The Portland Streetcar was the first modern streetcar system built in the United States since the 1950s, and Raimore has been part of every major phase of its expansion. Beginning with the original NS Line that opened in 2001 connecting NW 23rd Avenue to Portland State University, the system has grown to include the Lloyd District, Pearl District, South Waterfront, and the Eastside Loop crossing over the Willamette River via the Tilikum Crossing.

Across all four phases, Raimore contributed civil and infrastructure work: track foundation reconstruction, station platforms, ADA boarding upgrades, and the underground utility relocations required to make street-running rail work in active downtown corridors. The streetcar has become one of Portland's signature transit investments — and Raimore's continued involvement across more than a decade of expansion established the firm as a trusted partner on rail projects throughout the region.
